FIND YOUR GRIND X GREEN DOT SCHOOLS
We teamed up with Green Dot Public Schools to put on an event around Technology in Music. Kids form Locke High School in South Central Los Angeles came to hear about recording techniques from Tony Maserati- the engineer and producer behind legends Beyonce, Jay Z, and Black Eyed Peas as well as DJ Rashida (Price, Pharrel). Will.I.AM and I.AM+ donated their headphones for the event.
STREET POETS X FIND YOUR GRIND
Find Your Grind partnered up with LA based youth center Street Poets to throw an experience at our recording studio. Street Poets kids were paired up with Dj Swivel (Chainsmokers), Anthony Vasquez (DNCE), and other industry vets to work on songs for their annual Street Poets album. On going street art was provided by Alex Sam Davis and Grand Slam Poet Daniel Beaty graced us with his award winning inspiration and poetry.

The Undefeated Sessions is a program started by our recording studio, STRZ Enterprises. We partnered with Together We Rise, a foundation that paves the way for helping foster care youth. Naturally, we asked TWR to bring the top 10 foster care students in Los Angeles who were interested in a career in music and entertainment to come to the studio and learn from some of LA’s finest producers and songwriters. During the day, kids created music and lyrics. The favorite song was chosen, and a music video was shot to the song. The song has since been placed for music licensing opportunities.
COACHARTS KIDS: SUNDANCE
Coachart Kids and Find Your Grind partnered to bring 4 families of chronic illness children to the slopes of Park City, UT. During the day, they snowboarded with professional Oakley athletes and left with snowboards and Oakley gear from head to toe. Nick Gross closed the night with a DJ set alongside Lil Jon.

COMPTON MUSIC ACADEMIES
FYG linked up with Music Unites to build music academies in the Compton School District of Los Angeles. We started with Kelly Elementary, a school that had no prior programs that focused on the arts and music.
• Provided music lessons and instruments to over 1,500 kids in the Compton District of Los Angeles
• Provided instruments to Kelly Elementary School and teachers to bring music into elementary schools who did not have music as part of their programming.
FYG partnered with Create: Fixate and A Place Called Home to inspire art and discovery through youth in the Los Angeles district. Over 30 kids in an after-school program in Compton made art pieces that reflected around trees and how trees relate to their growth as individuals. The kids art pieces came to life as they were shown in one of LA’s biggest downtown art gallery exhibitions alongside some of LA’s biggest artists. Capital Cities closed the night with a DJ set.
